NotesWith this third album Batwèl Rada's singular musical signature is firmly fixed in the annals of the World Music genre. This latest installment sees the return of the world-renowned guitarist Leif Totusek, who was prominently featured on their very first album (Mèsi, 1995). His fluid lines, echoing his mastery of the Jazz and Blues idioms, as well as the African Rumba and Soukous styles, find their perfect vehicle in Max Lyncee's exquisite songwriting and arranging skills. To cap it all off, Sergo Decius, the eminent master percussionist from Haiti literally frames the album's harmonic and melodic explorations within his fiery palms. "Vwayaje" is, without a doubt, Batwèl Rada at it's best!
