I purchased this unit to replace or add on to my current Pioneer surround sound system which is around 25 years old but still performing very well for its age. All except the 8” subwoofer that came with it which still works just has a volume knob adjustment short in it. So after weeks of research into different makers and models of subwoofer brands I quickly discovered quality products these days comes with a hefty price tag. And even after shelling out hundreds or thousands of dollars on one you still may have just purchased yourself a dud. So I decided to go with a product I was already familiar with to be on the safe side. When I eventually came across this post, after only finding a few stores or sites to even still sell Pioneer subwoofers, I immediately purchased this unit being it was the last one for sell. It arrived yesterday, I integrated it into my current set up, and it blew my mind on the quality of bass it had compared to my 8” subwoofer. Makes me feel like I’ve been listening to a drive-in window mounted speaker all these years in comparison. I higher recommend this unit to anyone looking to add a quality subwoofer to their system without breaking the bank. Great System
This was just what I was looking for in order to complete my 7.2 home movie system. I have tried two other sub brands before I bought this one and spent almost as much on the two used one's. I got a great deal on the Pioneer SW-200W and it was the best investment I have made on a sound system. I love the way this sub sound's. Impressed! I own all Klipsch Products, but this Pioneer was 100-150 less than KL Subs, so went with this one, and it does the work just fine Put them on rollers sideways so Woofer projects outward..perfect! Bought TWO.. ty!!
