Great aquarium light.
This light is easily programmable and you have an understanding of the levels of your lights separately. It has good fans with ample ventilation. The light looks good and seems to be good quality. There are no dark areas in our 36 gallon bow front with just one 18" light. The corals are doing very well. Cables are easily adjusted for the correct height above the tank. Great light. Reef or freshwater
I just purchased 2 more of these. I had the previous model for about 8 years so far with no issue. 1 is over my reef tank and 1 is over my freshwater planted tank. These 2 new ones are over freshwater planted tanks also because they grow plants so well. I personally like the blue coloration in freshwater. Occasional algae issues for me, but due to abundance of plants and water parameters with dosing of seachem flourish excel the algae goes away pretty fast. This light should be mounted at least 18" from water level for good blending and par ratings. Too close will burn corals and plants.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I don't have any corals under this light yet but I am happy with the light and it was nicer than I expected. Very bright light and the spectrum seems on point. This light is superior in all aspects to the other black box aquarium lights. This ain’t no bs review. From the brackets to the led’s and lenses it is by far a better quality system and I am very happy with my purchase. Buy it. You will be impressed. Fantastic growth.
Very good for coral growth, I had already had one for my 29 Gallon with softies. IWhen my 55g needed a new light I re researched a cheap LED version, watrched Randy and Ryan on BRS do their review and VIPARSPECTRA came out as one of the top Black box in their review for my needs. Presently have two on my 55g, about 14" above the tank and eveerything is growing and doing well. Love the remote access and the controlling of the two difrent channels. one remote controlls both. Exceeded my expectations in every way!
When my order arrived, one of the units was a grow light rather than an aquarium light. I let the company know, and they very quickly sent out a second aquarium light. The lights are easy to set up, and my aquarium looks fantastic. Customizing the settings is easily done with the remote.
