  • Great knife!

I love this knife. Great blade material, good finish, beautiful handle. The blade centers nicely, and fit and finish is great. My only complaint is that I would prefer to have stainless steel liners in the handle instead of g10. But the handle is rock solid as it is now, it shows no flex.

  • Wonderful knife!

Wonderful knife! Too big for me to EDC: I use the mini for that. But for many it would be a great EDC, and for me it's a terrific special use folder, for when I need a large blade/handle. Fits the palm, M4 steel, good blade shape. I'd buy it again.

  • Lucky to have won this Bid for this awesome knife

Wasn't sure about the condition of this knife as the photos kind of looked llke the blade may have been scratched but it turned out the knife was in almost new condition. The knife is awesome - razor sharp CPM-M4 steel, great looking contoured G10 scales - which feel great in your hands - AND the action of this knife is simply fantastic. Easily the best knife I own - Great knife at a great price.

  • This is my #2 Super Freek, covering the bases should something to my first one.

I like this knife very much, I believe this knife will be excellent as a large game skinner. It was not hard to sharpen w my Edge Pro and regular stones. I would recommend this knife, it will require periodic maintenance like any other knife. It is not a stainless knife.

  • Great EDC with great steel - this ain't Grandma's 420C!

The Benchmade 560BK-1 Super Freek is pretty new on the knife scene. The CPM-M4 blade steel was a primary reason for my purchase. I used a lot of blade steels including some very good steels like CPM-154, S30V and S35V, but I'm super impressed by the M4. This stuff takes and incredible edge and holds it! Very fine grained. However, this steel is not known for it's corrosion resistance (rust), but that doesn't make a bit of difference for me. What this steel is known for is toughness and outstanding edge retention, factors that are much more important for me. The blade is Cerakoted and that should help with you guys that work around wet all the time. I used oil stones to smooth out the grind a bit and they worked just fine although I will say it does feel a bit different than other steels during whetting. To touch up an edge, I used a fine diamond stone and that's a bit faster. But, oil stones will work just fine. I've always liked an Axis lock. This model does not have the additional positive, safety locking push bar like you'll find on a 580 Barrage, but the fit of the Axis lock is very good and I find I'm not missing the safety too much. This is a manual opening knife and very smooth. The shape of the blade is sweet. The thumb ramp and jimping on the spine really lets you get a lot pressure onto this blade. I worried that the overall length folded would be too big, but it's ridding just fine in my pocket. There is absolutely no blade play and the action is very smooth as I would expect from any Benchmade. Overall, I could not be happier.

  • Work of wonder

This knife is amazing easy to use it’s like butter. I’ve had people who’ve used cheap gas station knives amazed at the action and how it fits in the hand. This blade has been out to the test pealing fruits and cutting meat .

  • Awesome knife M4 blade is super tough

I love everything about this knife. Great fit in my hand, color scheme with the red accents is awesome and the M4 steel is ridiculously tough. I purchased it used and I could see evidence of someone trying and failing to get and edge on this beast. It took forever but I have it hair shaving sharp now. The standard retail price is too high though. Mark

  • Good value from Benchmade

I loved the color scheme. It was light weight a lot lighter than I expected. Very solid though. Blade was super sharp and the coating on it was excellent.

  • I love this knife

This is an amazing knife. Very good looking and just a cool design. Maybe maybe favorite Big pocket knife. I love everything about it. Smooth as butter. Flies open with it's thumbstud and the axis lock makes it hard to put down. Great fidget knife. My first and favorite Benchmade. I've had a few others after but none have matched up. I can't recommend enough. It's got a great cerakote finish protecting the m4 steel from rust. If I have a knock against it it's that I have a little bit of trouble getting the m4 as sharp as my other steels and have had to go to a wider angle to get it sharp. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I sharpen a lot of knives and have only had this problem with one or two other steels.

  • Super Freek Super EDC

The Benchmade 560BK1 Freek with a deep carry clip accesssory installed would be a formidable EDC blade. Constructed of M4 steel it is incredibly tough for it's weight. I give it an 8 ranking weight to durability ratio.
