I did get some shine, but I think the key in using it must be for people that wash their hair, use this and then shortly after - blow dry. I always shower at night and put in a mousse or leave in product. Then in the am I re-wet a bit, scrunch, and a bit later blow dry. Perhaps the great shine is brought on by the blow drying shortly after using this. I did add a bit after re-wetting in the am and my hair was very soft and a bit shinier.
