Frigidaire Burner Control 316436001
Perfect mechanical fit; electrical connection locations different than original switch but are clearly labeled. Restored effective temperature control from low to high. Note: temperature control of heating element is not by an actual temperature measuring device but by adjusting relative 'make and break' bi-metallic strip. Relative simple device but over time, heating/cooling of the bi-metal strip takes it's toll and just needs to be replaced. Switch was well constructed but could have been packed more securely. Since the switch was so different from the original, there should have been identification of the terminals and accompanying schematic for easy installation.
