This scanner thermal scanner is well worth price and it is very sensitive.
It can see the difference of 3 or 4 degrees in metallic objects I held a gold coin in my hand for 20 seconds and laid it on a counter top and it had a glow, you could see the infra red heat emitting from it.
Also my grandson was wanting to know what was making his heat bill skyrocket last month, I went over and scanned his 2 main electrical panels and the breakers that had an excessive load on glowed red/yellow so he could deal with the culprit electric items that jacked up his electric bill. Also I scanned a volcanic rock setting on the counter and it showed up like a black spot on the screen. My plan is to use it to find holes in the ground that have been covered up years ago, I don't know if it will work but, it looks promising. As unpacked soil is a lower temperature than solid soil after the Sun has shined on it for a few hours, because of the grains are not at close together as undisturbed soil. Anyway that's some new scientific infrared technology used today in geological surveys.
