SynopsisAs he is driving home from a minister's conference, Baptist minister Don Piper collides with a semi-truck that crosses into his lane. He is pronounced dead at the scene. For the next 90 minutes, Piper experiences heaven where he is greeted by those who had influenced him spiritually. He hears beautiful music and feels true peace. Back on earth, a passing minister who had also been at the conference is led to pray for Don even though he knows the man is dead. Inspiring true story, great book!
Excellent book, detailing true events that happened to the author. After being in a deadly crash involving many vehicles, in which he author was pronounced dead by 4 teams of EMT's, he miraculously came back to life. The book describes the accident, what he experienced while dead, and the aftermath from his other injuries. I personally heard him speak and met him at an event in my hometown several years ago. I have heard about the book for quite a few years, but when Don Piper visited Calvary Chapel of Salt Lake City and I got to listen to him talk about his ordeal I was I was overtaken with admiration for Don Piper.
