Great price for five noir classics.
I was very pleased to see these five classic noir films in one box wrapped in individual cases with the original cover/poster art and expert commentary by Scorsese and others. Out of the Past and Asphalt Jungle are undisputed classics, while Gun Crazy and The Set-Up with Robert Ryan are low-budget noir at its very best. Some, in fact, consider Gun Crazy as the best of them all. Only Murder My Sweet is of a second tier, in my opinion, but many love Dick Powell as Marlowe; me, not so much. Still, having that Dmytryk-directed film as a fifth-best film in a box set is not too shabby.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
