  • Josephus and War

First, this book is not the same picture as it shows. But I'm hoping it's the same book that I have now.. I learned to found out, it's all about war same, similar, as in this future. It's keep on going war, that's for sure. That remind me in the Bible from Exodus all the way to Judges going on war. Especially, Josephus explain expand about the Israel and other people and the war. I'm still not finish reading. Except I just wish the large print.Thank you for Josephus, the complete works.

  • Well worth your time if you love history

The book is compelling. It is, except for the sticker on the exterior that is partially removed in great condition. It was surprising to have it written in the manner of the King James Bible, which is impossible to read without "blow-up" glasses AND a magnifying glass, so absorbing content is slow. If you you have the patience of wading thru generations....

  • Josephus the Complete works - an accurate record

This book amplifies the knowledge about the history of the Bible, based on personal experiences of Josephus Flavius at the time of Christ and afterwards it provides a 'layman's' view of topical and then contemporary history of that time. It expands much of the Bible history and also information not now known or discuss and underpins the accuracy and 'faithfulness' of the Biblical record. Whilst the verbiage is of that time it has been well translated and is an easy read and is indented to allow quick location of information and reference.

  • Not a five star rating in my opinion

The shipping took a lot longer than I expected. The book came in and the bottom part of the binding was all the Kringle up. I expected a brand new book but this one obviously got hurt during shipping or something.

  • Detailed and Interesting Reading

I haven't read this entire volume as it is very detailed reading. I am currently reading The Wars of the Jews and while he includes a lot of detail of events, it is difficult to figure out how much time is passing between them. If the translator had made margin notes of days/months/years it would have helped. If you are interested in reading what a person from the 1st Century AD writes about history and his people it is a good read.

great product, good to see a point of view like this. For me, helps reference items that were used back in this time in conjunction with the Bible.

  • Not what I was expecting
