But the bigoted townspeople would rather lynch the accused than try him, and they make life hellish for the lawyer, his daughter, and his son Jem (Philip Alford). Emotionally, psychologically, and mentally compelling film
At first you feel you're watching a great movie but by the end you realize that you feel you were in the movie yourself. This film was so well done, so compelling, it broke the fifth wall. The film was powerfully true to the book not only true to the written words but also true to the spirit of the book. Exceptional acting, directing, cinematography, musicality, and did I mention the subtly epitome of the acting? A family film that will touch children and adults alike.
