The title speaks to the worst , most brutal POW camp during the American Civil War.

I've said all I have to say a bout this product.
Although an outstanding presentation in itself, this film depicts a horrible situation in our nations history. We should be ashamed of what is depicted, but at the time this took place it was assumed that it was all that could be done with so many prisoners. Is this a quality product? YES INDEED! Would I buy it again? At the first possible opportunity. As a history buff, this becomes an integral part of my collection of Civil War films and books. Andersonville...the horrors exposed very realistically
I read the book, Andersonville many years ago. I had been unaware it had been made into a movie. I recently purchased the DVD and watched it last night with my wife. I felt it captured the horrors of the death camp very well. The movie reminded me of the Nazi concentration camps.
