  • Superb pedal

I have owned the Boss RV 500 an played with the pricey Strymon Big Sky...and remember all of the Lexicons from my youth...this is a superb reverb processor, by ANY standard...the layout and user interface is just a little different than the first two units I named...I love the A+B...Iam not a big sub-menu guy, I just want plug and play...all of the sounds are gorgeous. I know the spring reverb is hallowed on this unit...it is very real and cool, but playing it out of a vintage Princeton Reverb...it is not that. I like the Strymon's warm sounds and beautiful gimmick settings...it has a lot to offer. The Boss has a billion presets and superb incremental types of proper room/hall/plate verbs...it is very much like scrolling through an old PCM 70...but it has huge artistic limitations and a frankly awful shimmer that I could not manage to program away. The Ventris has fewer instantaneous basic verbs...it's a guitar/kb pedal, not a studio rack item...it wants to show off. Great basic verbs, and beautiful big weird sounds, big gorgeous shimmers...the combo feature is the deal sealer. Love it, love it, love it...I feel no envy of the pricier Strymon anymore.Highly recommended.

  • Excellent Reverb Great sound.

Fantastic sound and easy to use. No menus to go through either. It has features I haven't explored yet but it does simple really well and I recommend it. I had a Boss RV 500 that sounded great but the menus were too much for me to deal with. I also had a digitech polara and a hall of fame but this beats them all.

  • Better base models and more inspiring sounds than a Big Sky

The dual reverb engine mode really piqued my interest on this one. I owned a Big Sky for a few years. Loved the Bloom, Magnetic, and Cloud sounds in it. Thought the shifts in the Shimmer were the best out there and a good solid reverse. The traditional (room, hall, plate, spring) modes didn't blow me away. Perhaps I was too used to the verbs from Yamaha rack units growing up. Decided to let go of it a couple months ago and have had the Ventris in my sites. Couldn't be happier from a sonic perspective, and I haven't even tried hooking it up to the desktop version of the Neuro app to try any of the newer engines. Those traditional models sound better. The spring is much better. She shifted tones with it's Shimmer maybe aren't quite as nice, but I actually prefer the sound of that model with the shift off and the regen maxed.. it get's me close to Bloom and Cloud (particularly when you start to pair it with other reverb engines in the A+B mode). Just love it. So huge sounding. I might miss the number of presets from the Big Sky (and maybe Magnetic -- though I need to see if any of the new algo's in the app might cover the ground)... but that's mainly because I'm finding so many of my own sounds with the dual mode that I want to save off. I don't think I ever created my own presets on the Big Sky. Guess I'll have to get a small midi controller for it... but I can deal with it. Sonically this is much more inspiring to me.

  • Top of the line AWESOMENESS.

Clean tone, deep spacious reverb, perfect plate and spring and then there is alllllll the other combos. One of the best swells and reverse and modverbs you’ll EVER hear from one little box. I haven’t even gone online and tinkered with other settings, still exploring the factory settings. You can read all the other nice adds like MIDI control and dual inputs from ads. I’m telling you as a player, rip the box open, plug in their wall wart, add to the amp effects loop and 1-2-3 you are in reverb heaven. Nuff said, stop reading, add to cart and purchase. You will be glad you did.

  • Quality sound, choice of reverb styles and value for a high end pedal

Excellent sound quality, numerous reverb style options and pretty straightforward operation. Definitely not an inexpensive option but if you are looking for the sound and capabilities of a Strymon, Eventide, etc., you should check this out as it stacks up on value as well. Bought the Nemesis Delay pedal and it is a super pedal as well. Just starting to explore the different sounds and combinations, should keep me busy for quite awhile.

  • Love it

In terms of sound, this reverb may have dethroned the infamous blue box that shall not be named.
