Most often used small appliance
I have been using a NuWave on an almost daily basis for over five years. Especially useful when cooking for just one or two people. I, most often, use it to cook pieces of chicken or firm fish starting with either fresh or frozen pieces right from the freezer. No oil is really necessary,but I sometimes use a little cooking spray when cooking skinless pieces. It does a nicer job of heating frozen things that should be crispy (like fish sticks, taquitos, Chinese egg rolls) than does a microwave. One can roast/broil a three course meal (meat, potato, vegetables) all at the same time and quickly. Very easy to use to make garlic/Parmesan cheese toast, or seasoned roasted potato slices. All the parts except the heating element go in the dishwasher for easy clean up. I have learned putting a piece of aluminum foil in the bottom drip pan helps make clean up even easier without any extra scrubbing. One potential draw back of this particular older model is that it only has one cooking temperature. This model seems to be a discontinued one that I had to search for a long while to find new. However, I understand there to be a newer model that allows temperature selection among other additional electronic features. That new one will probably be quite satisfactory if you cannot find this exact model when you want to purchase, but it does not come complete with the extender ring and extra tools as does this original model.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Refurbished, not very well.
I received the motor for the NuWave quickly. It was clean and looked almost new. The only thing is, the motor sounds labored. My old motor sounds exactly like that. The only difference is, this one is clean. It sounds like the motor may quit at any moment. Yes, it works, but it's labored. The fan should spin a lot faster. The NuWave oven is perfect for a single person. You can cook anything in it faster than in an oven, clean up is a fraction of what an oven takes, and it has reduced my power bill since it is a smaller space to heat and cooks faster than a normal oven. Second NuWave is just as good as my first one.
