  • Did not work for my car.

I have a 2013 Nissan Altima, and I wanted to have a spare fob. This product looked promising, so I ordered one. I had read the instructions many times, and watched the Youtube video several times, then tried to program the key fob. I followed the instructions to get into the programming mode (double beep then a single beep from the OBD2 dongle), but the red car icon on the instrument panel did not blink at all to confirm that the key was programmed. I ended up with NO working key fob as the system cleared all working keys. After contacting Dorman, and following through several suggestions like disconnecting / reconnecting the battery, the original key fob was still not recovered. I ended up having a locksmith to come, and program the key fobs to get the car start and run. The locksmith explained that the first key to program should be the original working fob, not the Dorman fob. This is not how it was described in the instructions, and I was not really interested in trying that out anymore. For me, the concept is good, but the product did not work.
