Great, high-powered gift to get a family member!

My mom had been doing everything digital off a phone from quite a few years ago that's been slowing down, so I bought this for her birthday so she could search, go on FB, and cast stuff from a larger screen. I already had bought an identical one a few months prior from a technology scholarship from my college, so now I can mirror anything on my tablet if she needs help with anything. So far she's been really enjoying it as it runs way faster than her phone, has a larger, crisper screen, and she uses it constantly to help cast things to her Roku tv. I also use my identical tablet every day. Having a Samsung stylus pen is so helpful.

    Tab 4 Way Better

Not very happy with the product, I don't know why they have to change the buttons and other features of these tablets. just change and upgrade the internal components. I don't want an oversized phone, i prefer a smaller laptop. I've got the Tab 4 10" and it is getting slow and battery will go from 50% to 15% in a heartbeat. it must be programmed that way so you have to upgrade every 3/4 years. Tab 4 10" screen is much bigger than this one, also had to go in to system to make the physical power button to function. Next time I'll go with an off brand, even though I have a Samsung tv, phone, and tab 4 that I like.

  • Big upgrade for me

This S6 Lite Samsung Tablet replaced a 6 year old Samsung Tablet with only 16k of memory. That became a big problem because I was limited on what apps or documents I could store on the unit. Even with the expansion with an SD card there were only certain apps I could place on the SD card and whenever they updated they went back to the main memory and maxed me out. This tablet has more than enough memory for what I want and it doesn't have the problem of storing apps on the SD card like my old one. It's faster, more RAM and it has the Pen to boot. I'm very pleased.

  • Everything's better than earlier models except the screen quality

Product is better and faster, but screen is not as good as S2 tab. Less angle of view and slightly less contrast. BUT the stylus ads lots of value and usefulness compared to earlier models. The screen is longer (as is the unit) aided by the back button now soft and not on the hardware below. Those two things alone make this a worthwhile upgrade, while we just live with the lesser screen quality.

  • Good for small time artist

I like the pen and size for drawing. Has a SD card slot which is bonus. Nice screen size and picture quality. If your not looking for flashy do a million and one things tablet this one is perfect and the price was too.

  • Easily the best bang for buck drawing tablet

If you're thinking about getting this tablet for drawing I 100% recommend, the pen feels so great to draw with and you can buy a 10$ app to use it as a drawing monitor for desktop drawing with easy plug and play usage. On top of that mine lasts for almost a week on a single charge (of course that probably has to do with the fact that I only use it for drawing). The only downside I've had so far is palm rejection isn't very good. Meaning there will be false positive taps on the screen as you try to draw. Really the only way to combat this is wearing a drawing glove and changing your settings in your drawing app to only accept input from your pen.

  • Great for videos, not for gaming

I bought this tablet as a gift for myself this year and it has been a media consumption god send. The tablet itself despite having a very large screen actually isn't much bigger than a standard iPad and it is very easy to use. The included allows me to sketch, draw , and touch as I please sometimes I like using the pen better than my own fingers, especially when drawing. The headphone jack is a nice addition in 2020, I'm so used to having to use an adapter so its nice to have the old connector. As far as performance goes the tablet is no beast, it does okay in everyday tasks like email, web browsing, and watching videos. but it lacks in gaming with many games struggling. Minecraft runs okay but for the most part this device is definitely geared towards content consumption. Gaming isn't impossible but not amazing. the exynos chip inside the tablet, for what it lacks in gaming, makes up for in battery life. The tablet already has a large battery but the chip just sips power the whole time and it has proven itself to be very versatile in most everyday tasks. Overall, a good buy.

  • Great Tablet for Simple Use or Productivity

I had a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, which I purchased open box in 2019. I liked it a great deal. My previous tablets were various generations of the Kindle Fire HD. I needed a tablet to watch YouTube occasionally, maybe a movie, but mostly to read news and books. This changed when I began being self-employed more and working for The Man less. I bought a wireless keyboard and used my Tab S2 for productivity. For most basic things, this was fine. But the tech was getting old and I wanted something better. So I got the Tab S6 Lite and I am very happy with it. It is a little bigger than the previous tablet by about an inch, which takes a little getting used to. Facial recognition works well. Set-up is a breeze if you own Samsung products (I do), you can simply have them communicate and all the data is sent from one to another. Adding an SD card allows you to save apps and downloads to it, thus keeping space for updates on your apps which are on the internal storage. If I did have a complaint, it is there is bloatware on Samsung products. What is more frustrating is that Samsung has decided to get rid of their app store and use Google Play. So basically you are stuck with redundant apps. Screen is lovely and sound is great, especially if you are using headphones. I have watched a few movies with it. I find the colour crisp with no aliasing. I bought an Arteck HW192 wireless keyboard and it works well. I am debating whether to do pubwork with that or using my Google Pixelbook, which has a limited footprint. I use Google Drive and OneDrive, so I my work is limited to word processing and spreadsheets. I have not used this tablet for gaming. Battery life seems better than the S2. I have been giving it light and heavy use and I'd say I would get about ten hours of charge with heavy use. I use my Pixelbook 45W charging brick to charge it up. The included 5V charger is a mite slow. Uses USB-C connectivity. Comes with an S-Pen, which is easy to use. You can write notes or mark up documents (great for me as I am an editor). Plenty of colouring book apps about to test the pen. I have no artistic inclinations, so I can't tell you how it works with Infinite Painter, et al. Overall, I think it is a good tablet for lazy use or for work use. Since I own a Samsung TV, I can Smart Cast easily, using my TV in Dex mode and treating the tablet like a PC. Base price is expensive. I bought an open box bundle which had the tablet, OEM cover, OEM charger and USB-C cable, and the S-Pen. If you were to purchase it through Samsung, it would be about 450USD. Open box will halve that.

  • Excellent value for the price.

Excellent product with sharp screen and good battery life. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the pen doesn't work in the top and bottom 1/4". Don't know if this is a flaw in just this unit or not, but I can live with it.
