Title says it all
Grew up in the 1960's -70's Had a great time experiencing all the drama of the 1960s and early 1970's, Vietnam, race Protests, Woodstock, and the Jesus Revolution, everybody was a Hippie, I could relate to everything in the movie "Jesus Revolution", it was a Great time to grow up in and experience the social transitions taking place at that time, except of course for a 12 month tour of duty in So. Vietnam 1971. (U.S. Army) A great movie for Baby boomers to watch and reminisce a bit about the old days growin' up. LOL, . loved seeing all the old cars in the flic as well.

I think a different title would have caused more lukewarm Christians, and lost people to go to the theater yet a title that would still reach us
I saw it in the theater and wanted my church people to see it. I was in my 20s during this period, starting a new life in rural New Mexico. I thought all the hippies were as they were portrayed as druggies. However, we did become charismatic pastors at this time in NM without knowing where this movement actually came from.

This is a dramatization of the establishment of Calvary Chapel and while the content centers on four main characters the essence is that the power of Jesus Christ truly does change lives for the better. A heart warming true story of the Jesus Movement in California during the 60s and 70s. Being familiar with some of the characters, the movie really fleshed out my understanding of the Jesus Movement and how Calvary Chapel came into Being. Historic and touching, trials and tribulations that have brought so many to salvation and continue to do so.

I wanted to see this movie that all of my friends raved about. I watched it with my spouse and we were entertained. It just seemed different than what I expected. This is based on actual events and people. At times, I was feeling frustrated simply because of how they were responding versus how I would respond to the situation but the story was good.
