GOOD FAMILY READING!
This book was a visit to my past as I grew up in north eastern Colorado in the 1940s. Not much had changed. The writing is excellent and tells a good, honest tale of life on the Colorado prairie as seen by a young boy. The father is an excellent role model for parents and children alike. Absolute best of books
The Little Britches series has to be one of the very best there is. These are the stories of Ralph Moody's life, and not only is he a fascinating writer, but the kind of person one wants their children to emulate. I read it aloud to my five children 4 or 5 times while they were growing up and we all look back with fondness on those times.
