Garmin GPS 172c

Good for parts only
These Garmin have three major parts that are connected together with plugs or connectors. The screen, the mother board and the key pad. These parts are interchanagable between the same models. If the screen has rainbows you will need to find another unit that has a good screen. If the unit turns and the other functions do not work you will need another mother board. The key pads do not usually go bad, but they can have problems. If you are going to buy one for parts ask the seller what is wrong with it or what parts that work. Most tell you not tested, if so its buyer beware. Be very careful when buying for parts only you may not know what is working or if its all junk.Verified purchase: Yes
