good knives for medium-large hands. hard to find in this size over-the-counter.
small knifes arent comfortable in my big ol' paw; the bigger the knife, like my absolute favorite buck 307, the better control i have over what i am doing with it. not for medium/normal handsizes! first thing i do is chamfer all the sharp corners and edges; the only thing i want/need sharp on a knife is the working-edge. when i was a kid, this was all done at the factory level, not on my bench. so, i give it a 95% perfect score. good smooth snap, decent bladesteel/tempering, verry good value for money. know what size fits yore hand, and ya may hafta buy several sizes to figger this out, spending maybe a coupla hours with each, but you will find one that FITS your hand;then give the others away or trade'em off. this stockman/trapper combo are plenty-good-enough substitutes (do not read as 'replacement') for my 307 buck and large case trapper which have become pricey collectables.
