I think the Forster is the BEST Benchrest die sets out there, YMMV
This is the 4th or 5th Ultra Micrometer seating die I've purchased, so obviously I like them. I started out using Lee dies, and after I ended up wanting to get more accurate loads I realized the concentricity (roundness over the length of a loaded round) of the cases and final loaded round is a very large part of getting tighter groups. I had do start to improve certain aspects of my reloading. The cased being more concentric was a first step, but then I still saw the need to really align the bullet for the final round, and this dies does just that! The lower portion fits over the case snugly, just like a sizing die, then the bullet on top is held perfectly vertical in a small channel above the case. When the bullet seats it's in excellent alignment with the case, seating with almost no runout. The Ultra Micrometer part makes it very easy to get the final length you want or to switch from one bullet to another, and dial in the correct BTOL (Base To Ogive Length) from one bullet to another. Changes in thousands of inches is right on the dial. Very nice! And the dial is larger than comparable Redding Micrometer dies, so easier to see what I'm doing with more precision. A bit expensive, but Definitely recommended.
I own a number of Forster products which I have purchased over the last 40 years. They have always been excellent quality in my experience. This Ultra Micrometer Seater die is no exception. Case and bullet alignment is great, with run out being very minimal and the micrometer adjustment allows me to fine tune the seating depth to within 001" to achieve the best accuracy for my loads.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
