    Great magazines

Great magazines. Give you that couple extra rounds. Not great for concealed carry. It makes the grip as large as the pistol. It gives you better capacity for classes or competition where you need a higher round count. Have not had any feed problems or jams as of yet. Best if you use a loading aid to load. Thumb loading can be rough. Only drawback found is the base could be textured like the grip on the pistol. This would make for a much better grip and control of the magazine.

    Not good

I bought 2 for my M&P Shield 9 and both didn’t work properly. Couldn’t feed more than 3 rounds because the tray would snag on the hole for the mag release. If I poke the tray through the hole allowing more rounds to feed, then the tray got suck on the up swing and have a failure to load into the chamber. For me it was an easy fix, had to file down the tray corners but I don’t recommend the average Joe try to modify, don’t buy or return if defective instead. I don’t trust the reliability for home defense, for me these are strictly range mags.

  • Worked great with a little modification

The product was shipped fast and delivered as described. How ever I did find a flaw in design immediately. See attached pictures. In the first picture you see the edge of the plastic base above the spring, when i tried to eject rounds the first time with the clip full, it got to 4 rounds left and jammed because the plastic got caught on the lip of the cut out in the metal in picture two. I am an engineer and immediately figured out the only problem was a design flaw. Got out my Dremel and fixed the issue by grinding off the edge that got caught in picture 3.

  • Nice magazine with one sticky point.

Pros: As advertised, this is a 10 round magazine for a shield. It fits well and extends the grip far enough for a better, firmer hand. Seems to feed well. Seems to be as well built as the 7 and 8 round that came with the pistol. Neutral: a bit harder to conceal (as expected) Cons: a bit sticky on the eject. When you thumb the eject button, this Magazine drops about a third freely, then requires a pull to remove. I am hoping this will improve with use as it really slowed down a speed reload. Lost one star for this. All in all, I'm pleased with the magazine.

  • My 1st ProMag and Maybe Last

I gave okay rating due to a couple problems. Item looks just like factory mags. Problem is when you hit release, it catches and has to be pulled out entirely. A part of it is catching and not allowing it to just slide out smoothly. When installed, it works as supposed too. No obvious spot where catching. Haven’t fired weapon with this mag at this time. When removing rounds manually, cartridges seem to get bound up and not slide out correctly. I def won’t use this as a carry mag due to the problems.

  • Will have difficulty loading and unloading magazine well until broken in.

I ordered four magazines and they all have fitment issues. They would get stuck going into and out of the magwell as if they were coated way too much with paint or the mag is just to oversized. I took a DA sander with 800 grit and hit it on every side and lubed them up. Seems to work much better however i will only use them when shooting from a stand still range. Will not be using for conceal carry or range training until they get more wear and fall out of mag when pressing the release.

  • Great capacity mag, does not eject well.

Thankful to have a high capacity mag for the Shield. Like others stated, this mag sticks upon ejecting. These mags I received almost have to be reinserted after hitting eject button then forcibly pulled out. Hoping it will get smoother with time or hope I can find a video on where I need to file these down a bit to eject properly. Would definitely recommend but the mags sticking is definitely an issue that is unacceptable.

  • Magazine Good, Spacer at the bottom BAD, heavy aggresive texture.

The magazine works very well with the gun. The plastic magazine spacer at the bottom has a heavily raised dot pattern that is very uncomfortable when handling the gun. There is a magazine spacer with a lighter texture that I had asked for, but was not available. I did modify the grip by sanding the raised dot pattern and covering it with generic Talon style grip tape.

  • ProMag 9mm Shield 10 mag doesn't fit 10 rds.

ProMag 9mm Shield 10 round magazine is well made, but questionable for several reasons. OK for Range and Plinking, but not for critical use. No way I was gonna get 10 rounds into this magazine, even with a Maula mag loader. Had to trim the spring to get 10 in, but we'll see how that works out.

  • I have not had a chance to try it with l...

I have not had a chance to try it with live ammunition, but it seems to be decent quality. It fits well in my Shield and properly actuates the slide catch when empty. I cannot make any notes on feed reliability. One thing to note is that you really should only be buying it if you know what you are getting. Its a super long extended single stack magazine, so in a micro compact 9 like the Shield, the proportions will look cartoonish, as the length would be shorter than its height when you use it.
