Very easy to use and access favorite songs
I used to own two of these mp3s ten years ago but lost them.Although it is only 2 gigs and limited space being an older player, This mp3 allows me to select by artist or album so I can play a block of songs by same artist or album so I don’t have to fish around for it(many newer players don’t have this feature.)Has recording feature.I also set it to custom with pop,jazz,rock or with with equalizer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent with only one fault
This is an excellent sounding unit, due to its high-quality output sound amp. This amp goes easily puts out 30 Hz bass, and natural, clear treble. The unit is easy to use, has an equalizer, plays songs randomly, and has other features I don't use. Best of all it runs on a single AAA battery for a long time. The only con is that it can make 'pop' noises before each song. This is not software, but rather occurs only if your headphones have a very high input impedance, such as the Bose QC-15. If your headphones are normal, and have a CD resistance less than about 200 ohms, then the pops don't occur. I recommend this player; I dealt with the pops by adding a 200 ohm resistance in parallel with my headphones!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

The best portable Mp3 player for hiking
This is the model that gives the Appalachian Trail with me. I listened to dozens of audiobooks and often tuned into NPR as well. I could upload new files to it from any library along the way. A set of four rechargeable AAA batteries gave me a week of continuous listening. I dropped it into water, totally submerged, and it worked perfectly within an hour. It took a trip through a tumble dryer and came out unscathed. The only thing it couldn't withstands was being run over by a car.
