Truth and honesty
If you have sought this film- you either have a reference point with it or you're collecting Vietnam movies. I am choice B. I absolutely loved it. Don't let the B grade movie from 1980 scare you away. Do you watch Vietnam footage in documentaries? That's what some scenes in this reminded me of- real footage. It is a significant piece in my Vietnam collection, for sure. Pay no mind to Rotten Tomatoes or film critics that watch dozens of miscellaneous movies a week whether those movies are enjoyed or just watched by the critics. This is a film of an area of interest. I've looked more into the Vietnam era more so than my own generation so it can divert my frustrations from what I experienced. If you are looking to collect movies of a particular interest- this is a great Vietnam film. It starts with The Marines boots on ground (1965) and continues. It hits areas that aren't covered in other films. It's a true story. Plus, it's a B grade movie filmed in 1980 so it looks like real footage. I give it a good score !!!!
