A movie to enjoy again and agan
I am 50 years old and am just getting around to seeing this classic children's movie. Surprisingly, it is just as enjoyable for adults. It works on two levels at once. Very well made production, especially for it's time. Amazing set and props. Terrific music with wonderful lyrics and great performances all around, especially from the zany Gene Wilder. Stays pretty faithful to the book too. It presents important lessons that all children need to learn in an entertaining way. I find I don't mind seeing it again and again, which is rare for me. (I am seeing it several times because I am presenting it to a class.)
