Sega Sports leaves the NFL behind and joins the campus scene with College Football's National Championship, their first college football game for the Genesis. Based on the same engine used in NFL Football '94 starring Joe Montana, the game features 32 actual college teams with rosters and statistics reflecting the 1993 season. Authentic team colors, logos, fight songs and college playbooks have been included with both Wishbone and Option offenses.<br><br>Play an Exhibition or eleven game Regular Season in your quest to reach the National Championship. Having some friends over? Up to four players can compete with the Team Player adaptor. Tournaments can be customized from 4, 8, 16 or 32 games and you're free to design your team's schedule in the Race for #1 game mode. Commentary is performed by Lon Simmons, the voice behind Sega's SportsTalk series of games. This 16-Meg cartridge adds battery backup to save team records in 16 categories such as longest touchdown pass, most yards passing and most sacks.
