Based on the 1982 Disney movie, Adventures of Tron is one-person, side-view, jumping/elevator action game that challenges the player with two objectives. Players must keep Tron alive by avoiding enemies, and earn points by collecting floating "bits." Each game screen has four levels that contain bits for Tron to catch while various attackers are sent by the MCP to destroy Tron. Enemies include Recognizers, Grid Bugs and Cannon-firing tanks<br><br>Tron employs several methods to avoid enemies. By taking an elevator up or down one level, he can step into the center input/output beam to fall to the bottom level, or he can jump over them. The elevators only move up one level at a time and can only be activated by crossing the center I/O beam. On upper levels Tron must jump across the I/O beam or he will fall to the bottom. Once all seven bits have been collected, the center input/output beam turns blue and Tron can use it to be transported to the next, more difficult level.<br><br>Players begin with four lives and lose one each time Tron comes in contact with an enemy. Setting the left difficulty switch to "A" increases the difficulty of the game by providing more enemies.
