sturdy frame, but not sure of the net
the first thing you will notice about this pool rake is that the frame is rock solid. the netting is not the thickest i have seen, but it held a good load of wet leaves with no problem. i was afraid to rake it full, but i could not feel the netting stretch and it did not look like it took any damage from the load. given that i got two fro the price of one of the other heavy duty rakes, i feel like this is a smoking deal!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Like the mesh net. But it doesn't do well scrapping up items off the bottom.
The net is of good quality. The mesh is very flexible and easy to empty out. However, I could slide my old net across the bottom of the pool and it would pick up almost everything. Very well designed
This pool skimmer has an 1 1/2 inch plastic blade on the leading edge of the skimmer. This allows you to move the pooj skimmer along the bottom of the pool without damaging the mesh bag that collects the leaves. This front edge also serves as a trowel lifting the leaves up and guiding them into the the mesh collection bag. I have a gunite pool and dragging the other pool skimmers on the bottom destroyed the net while the frame was still in very good condition. This skimmer has remedied that flaw. This is a poorly made product that will fail in VERY short time. The net material is inadequately attached to the frame and will soon detach from the frame after which you can trash it. The only reason I kept the product is because I will reinforce the netting attachment and get a reasonable useful life out of it. And the hassle returning a truly inferior product! So far so good.
Have only used the skimmer for a month or two but so far impressed. Works very well and seems very sturdy. Will write another review in 6 months or a year to see how well it holds up but so far very satisfied. Construction is as good as the skimmers at the local pool supply store but the price was half as much.
