Oem is the only way to go... Chinese clones terrible
Tried both types of non branded batteries from china for half the price but they either will not charge or if they do they are not actually 6ah like they say. You can feel they are light in weight compared to this oem battery as well. The working ones also broke within a day of being put to use. Battery immediate fail on charger
It is a scam. Was a bait and switch. 2.6 ah battery in a 6 ah package. Carefully cut not to show opened package on photo. Also light glare on photo just where 2.6 shows but 6 clearly showing. I also suspect it was full of sand or weight. Felt too heavy to be batteries inside. Charger went immediately to “failed battery”. And this was my first ever eBay purchase! I have faith in eBay. I hear my refund $ is on the way. I suspect the real ryobi battery is fine. I have others that are fine. Go Ryobi!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best decision yet.
Better than expected. Went from gas to cord now cordless. Gas ate up the fuel lines and fittings. Coed was a bother to drag around. Wish I used the cordless model first. Getting the spare 6 amp battery was a good investment as it lasts longer allowing me to do the whole yard without waiting for a recharge. This bettery leaves nothing to be desired.
I charged this battery as soon as I got it. I used it on my string trimmer. I trimmed 600 feet of fence, 100 feet around my garden, 200 feet along the sidewalk and 150 feet around our flower beds. Long run-time, perfect for mower
The 6ah is the highest capacity battery available for Ryobi 40v. I use it for my Ryobi electric mower. It came with one battery, but I bought an extra one so that I don’t have to wait for a recharge to finish mowing my lawn. Works well on smaller 40v tools as well. The smaller ones typically use a 2.5ah or 4ah batter, rather than a 6ah, but it just means they’ll run a lot longer on the 6ah.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Power comes in small packages
Powerful little battery. I charged it and it's smaller than the original battery that came with my lawn mower. This little one is awesome. I didn't have to use the other battery at all. It kept the mower going until I finished cutting my lawn. And it didn't die then either. I highly recommend it. It's so nice not to have to use a gasoline powered lawn mower anymore.
