Great look
My 06 TL’s dashboard became an eyesore a few years ago when it started cracking. I take a lot of pride in my car so purchased a custom cloth overlay which served its purpose but always looked like a temporary coverup or a bandaid. This overlay is very nice and looks like the real thing. very good quality. I honestly love the way it makes my older TL look. Well worth the purchase. Great product. Needs better adhesive
Great product, easy to install and looks good. I have one important suggestion to the Coverlay company: you should change the silicone adhesive to a stronger quality one. I found that the adhesive included does not adhere well to the original dash, it sticks well to the underside of the coverlay. This results in separation of cover from dash. Perfect match to factory original
Item came in a large box and was packed well with no damage. Dash cover appeared to be of good quality .Installed on 9/20 following the included instructions and had no problems. I did put extra weight on top of the cover to hold it down and used masking tape on a few places. I left the car untouched for 24 hours and removed all the weight and tape and the finished product was almost better then factory. Very happy with this dash cover, I recommend this product highly. Economical solution to a sun-damaged dashboard
This is a great solution if finding a replacement dash is too difficult. Silicone glue is not perfect, tricky to apply per instructions and install without glue leaking/dripping all over the interior. Seems to scratch easily, leaving marks. Pleasantly Surprised
I was fortunate to be gifted a 2007 TL with 140k miles that just needed some TLC to get back in shape. I was able to clean up most of the cosmetic issues other than the cracked dash and wasn't sure how to proceed. After some research I discovered that the 04-08 Acura TL has a common problem with cracks forming in the dash and some of the other guys who dealt with it recommended the Coverlay as a solution. I was originally looking at a carpet style dash cover, but I hated the way they looked, so the Coverlay was a prefect alternative even with the higher price tag. The Coverlay came by Fedex in a huge box so it wasn't rolled up or folded, which was nice. It's kind of a stiff plastic like HDPE or something with a painted finish. It came with some minor cosmetic imperfections, but nothing major. I immediately did a test fitting and it was pretty darn close to perfect. Just a little off here and there. The instructions were pretty straightforward and I didn't have much trouble with the install. I did a good cleanup of the interior dash area with windex. Did the same on the Coverlay and then warmed up the adhesive in some hot water so it would squeeze easier. You just run a thin bead of the adhesive around the perimeter of the cover and around the punch-outs to hold it in place, place it on the dash, then weigh it down with something kinda heavy. Once the adhesive sets, you're all done. The new dash looks almost as good as new. Overall I'm very impressed with the quality and look of the new dash. It's a huge improvement over the old cracked dash for sure and 100 times easier to install than a whole new dash pulled from a junkyard.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

08 TL Dash Cover
This cover is absolutely PERFECT!!! The fit was just about perfect, and the installation was pretty much straightforward. I managed to put a little too sealant in some places and not enough in other. But was easy to clean up the excess and add a little more where needed. I probably could have done a better job with the install, but it still came out pretty decent nonetheless.
