Almost perfect!
These worked out perfectly for my wife’s 2011 4Runner (Trail Edition). The previous owner seems to have plasti-dipped all the emblems on the vehicle and it was starting to look bad. We wanted a more stock OEM look and this did the job well! The only complaint we could come up with is that it seems that the “R” in the “4Runner” sequence seemed to be slightly larger than all the rest. More specifically, the bottoms of the legs on the “R” seemed to not line up with the bottoms of the legs of the other letters across the back. I told my wife that the average persons would not even be able to tell or notice. Other than that, these are a solid choice for anyone looking to get that OEM look with a matte black finish. If I get a chance, I’ll try to snag a picture or two of the emblems now that they’ve been installed.

Weak dual/two sided tape
The two sided tape used isn't very good, mine were delivered with several wrinkles in the tape that I needed to fix before using them. As I was fixing the tape i also quickly noticed the lack of sticking strength of the tape as it easily came off the inner overlay area. I installed them and ensured a snug fit but the next morning I noticed the front emblem had come loose so I fixed it and heard a snap as if ensuring the install was good but as I checked the rest of the emblems I noticed the back emblem had come loose as well as the 4Ru overlays. Everything was good for several days until I went through a car wash and ended up losing the front/back and 4Ru letter emblems so unfortunately I cannot recommend this product for that minor detail of weak 2 sided tape being used and installed poorly on the items I received which I'm willing to bet also played a part in them coming off during a quick drive thru car wash. Hopefully this was an isolated one off type of issue but unfortunately I had to take one for the team since these were short lived on my new 20 4Runner. The overlays themselves were nice, I wish they would've lasted longer on my vehicle for the price I paid...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beter quality that I expected, but be aware, these are REPLACEMENTS, not Overlays!
Some of the product photos make these appear to be blackout 'overlays', the kind that secure over your existing badges... a tiny bit larger than the OEM badges, overlay kits have a small thread of the 'sticky stuff' inside them meant to secure them to your existing factory emblems. Even though the item title clearly says "Replace Kit" and the description says "Fitment: Direct Replacement", some silly fool (such as myself) will see the photos on this listing showing the 'thin red line' of adhesive tape that sits down inside the emblem, and assume these are the 'sticks right over top' kind of blackout overlay badges. They are not. The actual adhesive covers the back of each emblem from edge to edge, as these are designed to mount directly to the flatness of your car _after_ you remove the badge/emblem that is there now. Even if you were to remove the existing tape, they are an exact match in size/shape to the factory badges, and as such, you could not possibly 'squeeze' them on as overlays. The fault is entirely mine, I should have read more and focused less on the pictures, but I just wanted to clarify this for anyone else who's looking for the overlay variety. IF however you are looking for actual 'replacement' badges, these are of good build quality, minimal nicks, and a decent heft and thickness to the emblems. I was honestly impressed for an OEM knockoff, even if I can't actually use them for my situation. :/Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to apply and looks great
They showed up on time, packaging was great and kept everything separated and safe. Really easy to apply. Looks great so far, we'll see how it stands the test of seasons. My only minor dislike is that the SR5 overlay is one solid piece with fill-in between the curves and letters...not entirely cut out. Blacked out emblems look great!
Emblems look great and installed pretty easy following the directions. The "R's" were not an exact fit and had to be minipulated a bit but went on with a little force once aligned. They did not fit as flush as the other letters and emblems, but appear to be on solid. Just put on a week ago and everything is fine to this point. This kit is exactly as advertised. The plastic overlay letters fit perfectly over the chrome and come with 3M tape that adheres to the chrome. I do wish that the product was half the price, and the plastic pieces are thin and probably cost nothing to produce. Overall it was worth buying and it looks great on my Silver 4Runner

This is an actual badge/emblem not an overlay
Some comments are misleading! One reviewer claims it’s an overlay which it is absolutely not. Make no mistake this is a badge/emblem in matte black. I’m happy because I was not wanting an overlay.
