Best synthetic ATF
Let me preface my review by saying that I have used Mobil1 ATF previously. I have used it basically since it showed up on the shelves at my local auto parts store. Then, eventually, I was able to buy it at Walmart. It is considerably more expensive than ordinary ATF, but having used it for quite a while now, I think it pays for itself in the long run. As long as your transmission is still in good shape and doesn't have any major mechanical problems, you will feel the difference almost immediately. Your transmission will shift smoother, run quieter, and run cooler. Most manufacturers suggest transmission fluid changes anywhere from 30,000 to 60,000 miles. If you do just normal, everyday driving, I think you could leave this fluid in for 50 or 60 thousand miles without a worry. Of course, you should check it regularly and change it sooner if it starts to turn brown.Like I said, it's a little more expensive, about $10 a quart, but to me it's worth it.
