Debated doing this fix on my land cruiser for weeks but finally the oil stains started getting annoying. You’ll need a 30mm socket from autozone or Lowe’s to set the engine at TDC, I did it from under the truck. Remember that there will be two TDC on a 4stroke engine and as a result, the distributor rotor will either point at the 11 o’clock position or the 5 o’clock position when you remove the cap. If your crank is reading TDC but rotor is pointing at 5 o’clock, spin the crank till it reaches TDC again. This will help you from wasting time with the reassembly. The instructions on ih8mudd will help but I don’t think they mention the two Top Dead Center options.
