Better than statin drugs
I took statin drugs for over 20 years, and my joints ached all the time. I finally said, I can't do statin drugs anymore, and stopped. I started to feel better within days. However, my cholesterol is a problem, so I tried Slo-Niacin brand niacin. When I followed my doctor's instructions on how to take it, the flushing was minimal. I tried other brands of slow release niacin, and had a lot of joint pains. After checking the ingredients label on the "other brand" of niacin, and Slo Niacin, I found that the "other brands" were not pure, and contained additonal ingredients. The Slo-Niacin brand is pure, just read the label ingredients. I started the slo niacin this way: 3 weeks at 250 mg, 3 weeks at 5oo mg, 3 weeks at 750 mg, then 1000 mg. Take it at bedtime with a glass full of water. Also, eat something along with it, like a dill pickle spear, or something else low in fat. In the daytime, drink plenty of water and fluids. Also, take an aspirin with the niacin, it is supposed to help with flushing and possible headaches. I use low-dose aspirin, which is heart healthy. Good luck! I like this stuff, and my joints don't ache like the used to with statin drugs!
