Quiet, little worker!
When I first received my Airfree, it was so small that I thought it was a toy in comparison to other filtered purifier I had before! Fortunately I was patient enough to use it and be really impressed with its performance. It is so quiet that you think it is not working but after a while the amount of paper tissues that one used to use, to clear the nose, totally decreases to nothing meaning that the runny nose and congestion improves. I'd heard great things about this product line
Regret to say this has not been living up to the hype. I kept my unit in my room running 24/7 for 1 week - to no improvement. All I got was a hotter room, no reduction in allergen levels or dust (that I could perceive). I do think this would work better if there were a fan to move more of the allergens through the unit to be removed, but the emitted heat is NOT acceptable. Especially in a warm place like Hawaii. Quiet. Compact. Keeps the dust down.
Have had it for only about 30 days. So far, so good. It certainly keeps the dust down. My husband and I are sneezing less than before. We had a faint smell of mold at our bedroom window. Hard to tell if its working?
The Airfree 3000 seems to work but it is very hard to tell. It makes absolutely no noise and the air going through it is by convection, it has no fan. After 2 weeks in the front of my house I noticed that the stale order was gone. I just moved it to the bedroom to see what it will do there. Based on my research it is a little expensive but if you add the cost of filters the price is comparable to other air purifiers that kill mold spores, like the Airfree 3000. Extremely Quiet
It seems to be doing its job. It makes no sound. The blue light blinks to cool off the sterilization chamber and then stops as it was written in the instructions. The only thing that I do wonder is; has it cleaned my bedroom's air as advertised. There is no way to really measure that or to know for sure. That is why I did not give it a 5 out of 5. Best Air Purifier
In my opinion, the AirFree is the best air purifier. I really like that there is NO filter or maintenance of any kind. I live with 2 cats and although I am not allergic to them, this has eliminated the little bit of sneezing and stuffiness I would experience in the mornings. This is my second AirFree. The first, a model P2000 (550 sq. ft.) I use in my bedroom upstairs. A significant reduction in dust
No matter how I cleaned our bedroom, by the end of the day, there was dust over everything. I did a thorough cleaning on Saturday and then plugged in the Onyx 3000. Today is Thursday and our room is still pretty much dust free! The unit is warm to the touch, but nothing to be concerned about. It makes no sound. I have to touch it to make sure it is running.
