Works well for some things not so well for other but over all a great product!

I live in an 5th Wheel RV Trailer which as a small bath tub, I tried many things to fix it with out completely tearing the bath room out, Some one gave me a piece of this tape to try! I put it on the tub and it lasted a little over 2 years until I accidently somehow loosened a corner of the tape and it began to peel up and eventually came off! It's pricey and says it works wet but like any thing here are "catches" to using it "wet" etc! My tub I prepped then heated the tape and tub and it stuck well and as I said lasted lover 2 years so I guess its worth it since I bought my own roll! I also bought the "paint" on version to seal some leaks on the roof and it worked okay too!

Does Not Work as Advertised. Find another Solution to Your Problem.

The product is advertised as rubberized and flexible. It is not. It does not stretch in any direction. I purchased it to repair the heel of a pair of LL bean men's rubber boots. I am not talking about the sole or the leather upper, the rubber back of the boot between the sole and the leather upper. The adhesive is very sticky and stuck well. Unfortunately, the thick plastic outer layer did not. It separated from the adhesive after a couple of days leaving only the adhesive on the boot. I have left it in place to see what a few more days bring, but I do not have much hope of it working out. Meanwhile, I bought a roll of the 4" wide black and a roll of the 4" wide clear that I will not trust to do a sealing job in the future on anything. I have included two pictures to illustrate the issue. In picture 2 you can see the entire heel of the boot. Note how some areas are clear where the tape is still attached and the whitened opaque areas where the plastic outer layer has separated from the adhesive. The adhesive is still attached to the boot as you can see in picture 1. The area that is darker in color is the adhesive still attached to the boot. The white opaque areas are where the plastic outer layer has separated from the adhesive. I couldn't give it a zero star rating, but it deserves it. What a waste.

  • Bet the boat sank

I originally purchased this to mend a hose. I wrapped it around the hose and the next day when I went out to water, I found it laying unraveled on the ground. I also used it on a 1 gallon water jug for my chickens that has a crack on the side. When I went out the next day, it was breaking away from the jug. I really don't see how it could be used for long term usage if it can't withstand the sun for 1 day. I would be leery about using this product in the future.

  • Disappointed

Bought it for a cracked tank on a commode. Drained the tank and cleaned, cut the tape to the length I needed and tried to remove the film, it was so stuck I almost gave up. Finally got them separated and placed it over the inside of the cracked tank. Thought it was going to work until I began filling the tank with water and the tape just floated off the repaired area. They advertise this stuff working under water but where it came in contact with water it just turned loose. The trouble I had separating the tape and film makes me think it had been exposed to high heat. Don’t know, but it didn’t work for me.

  • Better than Duct Tape!

So far it seems to work very well. We did use it on a boat, but haven't put it back in water yet. Hopefully I will get to soon.

  • MacGyver would love it!

I came across this item at an estate sale ..it was a good price so I bought it. I have literally used it for a ton of things.. a pond hole, a small hole in my lawnmower, kids pool. I was so sad when I ran out, so I ordered more .

  • Not as good as shown

Didn't stick very well. patched leaks in the carport roof, only half of them stuck, the rest leak still. i cleaned and dried the area before application as directed.

  • Flex Tape works well

Seems to be good quality backing and adhesive. I used it to cover cracks in my lawn tractor's seat. It conforms nicely to the curves along the edges.
