The most amazing all-purpose ointment on earth. The label states for "veterinary use only" but any use recommended on the label for animals also applies to human use. The irony is for years the company made a people version called Lantiseptic that is the identical ingredient and percentage formula. I believe the people version has been spun off to a separate company and usually sells for as much as 20-100% more. ORIGINAL WAS 50% LANOLIN. ALL PURPOSE IS ONLY 30%. MY FAMILY HAS USED THE ORIGINAL FOR NEXT TO 100 YEARS. THIS NEW STUFF IS MORE EXPENSIVE AND NOT AS EFFECTIVE. MY DAD WAS BORN IN 1906. HE USED IT EFFECTIVELY ALL HIS LIFE. I WAS BORN IN 1950 AND HAVE USED IT EFFECTIVELY ALL MY LIFE. SINCE I'M 71 AND HAVE INTRODUCED 9 CHILDREN AND STEP CHILDREN TO CORONA'S WONDERFUL PRODUCT, AS ADULTS NOW WITH CHILDREN OF THEIR OWN, I GUESS THEY WILL JUST HAVE TO PASS ALONG THIS NEW PRODUCT TO THEIR CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN. Found an old friend
My mom always used Corona Ointment for our minor injuries growing up in the 50's. From nasty bug bites, painful scrapes on the knees, to slivers and cuts, Corona Ointment did the trick. So recently, my husband developed those painful little cracks around the heels of his feet...winter dry skin. It was becoming hard to walk because of the discomfort and I remembered Corona Ointment. I looked around town and couldn't find it, so I checked ebay and their it was! I ordered it and once it arrived I applied it to his sore heels. The wonder of Corona is the soothing lanolin. Company Sold & Formula Changed. WORTHLESS!!
I have used this product for years & years. I had sold hundreds of jars of it in my feed store. It is awesome for scrapes, cuts, sores, anything. I always keep a jar in the medicine cabinet though it is "not recommended for human use". A 14 ounce jar lasts me for 10 or 12 years & mine was about empty so I ordered a new one. To my surprise the company had been sold & the formula changed. It no longer contains oxyquinoline, the ingredient which is therapeutic. Now it is just a hand softener, lanolin, beeswax, petroleum & water. I can see no therapeutic value to it at all. Another fine product that has changed & is now worthless!!
