I put up 8 of these gourds last spring. The martins came that stopped and looked all left. Then I opened up the entrance holes. Then the martins that came to look all stayed. The design of these little martin houses was a good one, however when you match the front and back together as design the two are not exact cousing a none fit. Nothing you can do as they simply do not line up to snap in place and if you try to force them, one side will always pop the other side out. Great homes for my favorite birds
I was glad that I ordered them, my last purchase (I want give the store's name) the plastic was very thin, but on these the plastic was very thick and I have noticed that they hold up in high winds. I put them up about 25 feet in the air on my adjustable poles and they look good, now I am awaiting the arrival of the purple martins. Great deal for the price. I would order them again.
