Works brilliantly and can be used to replace the older K2 screen
I bought a Nikon K3 focusing screen to replace the original, but now scratched, K2 screen in my Nikon FM2n body. The K3 screen is an exact fit and can be installed as a replacement for the K2 screen without issues. I tested two FM2n bodies side by side - one with a K2 screen and one with this K3 screen. I used a 35mm f/2 prime and a 50mm f/1.4 prime to make the comparison. In both cases I found the accuracy in all three focusing zones to be improved and easier to use. Importantly, no brightness appeared to be sacrificed to get the improvement. I have not tested with wide-angle or telephoto lenses. This would be worth doing to get more complete feedback. However, the viewfinder mechanism of the newer FM3a body, for which this screen is designed, seems to be much like the earlier FM/FE/FA series camera bodies, so it is fair to expect that the performance across the entire focal length range will be at least as good as the older screen design.

Great upgrade
The K3 screen is an awesome upgrade for older Nikon film SLRs including the FM2n, FE2, and FA. It is noticeably brighter and it doesn't black out when slower lenses (f/4) are used, unlike the older screens.
