Made in Japan by Hisamitsu, this Salonpas product is designed to alleviate joint pain, soreness, stiff muscles, and similar issues. The product is for adults 18 years of age and older, and it is acquired without a prescription. Salonpas is applied to almost any part of the body to ease your pain. It is a good idea to apply the product after a bath, because clean and dry skin produces the best results. These patches are FDA approved and are used for up to 8 to 12 hours per day. This Salonpas product contains the following active ingredients: Menthol 3 percent (topical analgesic), Methyl Salicylate (10 percent) (NSAID topical analgesic). The inactive ingredients include Alicyclic Saturated Hydrocarbon Resin, Mineral Oil, Polyisobutylene (1,200,000), Styrene Isoprene Styrene Block Copolymer, Synthetic Aluminum Silicate. Not the original product.
This product is not the same as the ones I have been using. This is like some ‘rogue’ ones I bought once from Vietnam! The problem, for me, is in the adhesive side of the patch. These cause a rash and irritation so cannot be used as frequently as I need. The better ones ( same label) are like the original much larger patches which can be bought in shops in the UK. Unfortunately there seems to be no way of knowing whether you are going to get the good ‘original’ Salonpas, or these which have two patches either side of a strip. Salonpas is a Godsend Enhancing My Quality of life due to Pain in my Shoulder. I can move again!!!
Im 63 yrs old and my age is creaping up on me. I generally am very active especially with DIY projects and housekeeping including dog grooming YIKES and pet sitting My left shoulder had an injury about 20 yrs ago. Recently its been very painful and difficult to perform my usual duties working as well as sleeping well. The salonpas give me relief mentally due to the wonderful aroma and the patch its self gives me more freedom of movement and less pain. . Not the original version but OK
Started using Salonpas regular patches about 6 years ago. Manufacturer has changed the inner packaging and maybe even the medication strength which is mixed into the sticky part of the patch. Wish they hadn't made those changes; I don't think they are as durable nor effective as they were originally, but they are still my go-to patch for muscle or joint pain for arthritis or muscle strain. The menthol smell is as pleasant as it will get; I don't get medication on my fingers and no messy tubes or fluids to fiddle with. I sometimes cut a patch into half-portions for small places but it will leave a bit of sticky residue on scissors, easily cleaned off but be careful not to cut yourself on the scissors cleaning it off.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
