I have worn an all metal star trek badge on a vest to work everyday for about 4 years now. I found it here on ebay. It was a Paramount original from 1992. It had a noise maker that died quickly after receiving it. But I still liked it and wore it daily. On occasion it would fall off and get a ding in it and over a four year period it has faded and I decided I wanted a new one. I saw this and it looked so much more authentic but it looks kind of "plastic" in the picture. But I ordered it and Oh my gosh it is awesome. Look closely at the comms on the TNG and it is EXACTLY in look like the originals. From what I understand the originals really were not that great quality. These here are incredible quality.
