Great kit for beginners.
This is a great little kit for beginning painters. The figures included are highly detailed and makes learning to paint miniatures fun. The paints included are a good basic starting collection. I would recommend purchasing a fine detail brush to go along with the ones included though. If you're looking to learn how to paint miniatures, this kit is a no-brainer. I've never painted miniatures or much of anything for that matter, but this kit comes with paints, brushes, 3 great quality plastic minis, and step-by-step instructions for how to apply base paint, mix and apply washes, and dry brushing basics. Great learning tool learned much from it.
I like pretty much everything about the core skills tutorial kit. I like how the paint flows from the brush and I don't need to thin it. The paint covers well and without brush strokes. The brushes provided are something to start painting with, they will eventually have to be replaced. the only thing I was disappointed the Orc figure had a broken sword when I opened the case. The figures were inside their packing plastic blister and it was outside of the foam. I was able to repair it without much difficulty.
