The Behringer B-1 large diaphragm condenser mic gives you a lot of microphone for not a lot of money. You get the crisp sound of a studio condenser mic at a price that's great for home and project studios. The B-1 features a low-cut filter at 75Hz to give you control over the low-end response of your recordings. And thanks to the 10dB pad, you can use the B-1 on loud sound sources like drums and guitar amps. Behringer even gives you a shockmount, windscreen, and aluminum storage case with the B-1. If you're just starting to record, or just need an alternative studio mic at a low cost, you'll appreciate the Behringer B-1 condenser mic.
this mic has a smoother transition from syllable to syllable, a little more accuracy , a little less boxiness, a little less boominess, a little less muddiness and a little less sibilance... when compared to the first generation studio projects b1 and the lewitt 240 pro microphones, along with several other mics ive owned in the $100 to $600 price range... i found the low cut filter to be useful ... most mics sound a little harsh when the low cut/hi-pass filter is activated...i inspected the internal circuit boards... it has two circuit boards instead of one- an uncommon feature in budget mics... the components appear to be of high quality and sturdy... the capsule and diaphragm look and perform at the level of more expensive mics... the internal parts dont look cheap, nor does the exterior... i am a male low baritone and a recording engineer from the analog era...
You can't go wrong buying this mic. The price point is great considering the sound and quality and is perfect for recording in either a home or professional studio.
