Great replacement for Klipsch Promedia subwoofer.
My Kilpsch Promedia's subwoofer's foam surround had ripped due to age and wear and tear. I could've refoamed the cone, but thought getting a speaker with a rubber surround would be more durable in the long run and easier to replace than refoaming. This is almost a drop in replacement. One of the leads on the Klipsch had a smaller crimp connector that didn't fit the Pyramid, but I just used some wire to tie it down to the terminal for now. Later I'll replace the crimp connector with one that fits. The bass does sound a bit congested than the stock speaker, but after a bit of breaking in it should open up more...and already is doing that. The Pyramid also seems more sensitive than the stock speaker. I don't have to turn up the bass level as much on the control unit it seems. Don't buy these speakers
The quality of these speakers is very poor and the workmanship is very shoddy. These are inferior speakers. They are made to look better than they sound hence the low price. Don't waste your money on them. The ad is deceptive. They show two speakers in the same photo in the ad when they are actually only selling ONE speaker. Replaced factory subwoofer in my ‘01 wrangler
The center console sub was blown in my 2001 Jeep Wrangler this was a great replacement. I needed to shave some of the plastic in the console so it would fit, but that was easy with a dremel tool. Undersized.
