The Electro-Voice 635A provides quality and distinction in a handheld package. This interview microphone is designed for exacting professional applications, such as film production, recording, broadcasting, and the more demanding PA applications. This mic has high output level, low sensitivity to mechanical shock, and features a diaphragm that permits very smooth response across a wide frequency range. Designed with durability in mind, the diaphragm of this omni-directional microphone withstands humidity and temperature extremes, corrosive effects of salt air, and severe mechanical shocks. Quality is never a problem with the Electro-Voice‘s four-stage pop and dust filter that ensures a completely pop-free performance and virtually eliminates the need for an external windscreen during outdoor use. Great little microphone at an affordable price.
This little mic packs a versatile punch. I am using it for recording vocals with excellent results. Does not need as much EQing as other mics I have used, at least for the sound that I am aiming for. Great dynamic mic
Great mic for vocals, acoustic guitar. Warm mid-rangey tone. It´s an omni mic so it will pick up a lot of the room. This might be a problem if you record in a normal living room. The advantage is it seems easier to get even levels on recordings with an omni mic, it has no proximity effect.
