The Samson Q7 works for me!
Great Microphone for live use. Especially for the price. No, it's not a Shure 58 mic. But it sounds great in it's own right. In fact, like other people, I prefer the Samson Q7 mic over the Shure 58 for vocals. The fact that it's less expensive than a Shure 58 is simply a bonus. I've been a musician for over 30 years now and had used Shure mic's for years before coming across Samson mic's. The Samson Q7 in particular, is just an all around great sounding microphone for both vocals and micing up guitar amps. Regarding vocals, if your voice sounds better with a Shure 58, then get a Shure 58. The Samson Q7 sounds better for my voice. People who say that Samson makes low quality stuff compared to other major brands that have been around a lot longer are full of it.
