The Tom Tom system seems to be accurate and easy to use. I updated all of the maps via wifi and it was a snap. That was a free upgrade. I always paid for my Garmin upgrades and now they’ve stopped supporting their system.

An excellent buy.
The price was significantly better than Amazon considering that TomTom doesn't make or sell devices any more. I was never sure the 6" would be okay to use (too large), but it's not bothering me in any way. I had a GO 52s before for several years, but in this Oklahoma heat of 2024, it got baked to the worst degree, where it sat always on my dash. I still works, but is questionable in a few times. So, I went looking and found TomTom doesn't sell devices, just the mapping app, which I bought. For my 2015 VW, it can't integrate with AndroidAuto, so the combined usage of the phone, the app, and maybe a music app was all impossible. The removal of the mapping to an external device works very well for me and has for more than 14 years. In their basic function, they don't depend upon a Cell tower/network. TomTom has worked well for me for several years. I'll stick with this one till it's kaput.
