What a fun creative looper and drum machine disguised as an effects pedal. I have a lot of loopers, I love 'em. Great tools for songwriting and practising your greatness!!! :) What's nice is you can use this with ANY instrument that has an output. It's simple, easy to use and has usable configs for any situation. Right outta the box you get a master setup with dual outputs for amps and mixers to define the overall mix or just plug it straight into your amp and/or audio interface. There's 256 user slots and 6 hours of jam time onboard. Read that again haha awesome bang for your buck. Can't think of any cons other than they say it has a stereo input if used with a TRS jack but I haven't tried that yet, I'm using it for guitar. There are different chain settings with these types of pedals you may want to consider. The Digitech TRIO is a PRE Pedal-board effect unit where as this is a POST Pedal-board effect unit. Meaning: pedals like the TRIO want your guitar input and then route your guitar to your Effects Pedal-board whereas the JTC can go at the end of your Pedal-board so you can literally record/loop your effects along with the drums... If that doesn't make sense, no worries, it's all good it's just the way the units are used with other pedals and of course all can be used with AMP Effect Loops (Ins/Outs). I currently have a Zoom G3 running into it to provide my guitar processing and I get happily lost with just those two alone. I am still experimenting with the NU-X JTC Drum and Loop Pro Pedal and one thing I can say is this is a lot of fun to play. If you are wanting a way to take Backing Tracks with you for Live gigging this thing can do that too. You can use those 256 slots to install your tracks via computer. Lots to enjoy about this pedal and I'm glad I got one. I have many different setups and this is designed for jamming, no doubt about it!
