I love it! I’ve had the mug press that cones with a standard heat press and I hated it. It always would get 3 right and 1 messed up. No matter how many times I checked it. Surprisingly simple, stunning results!
As a long-time airbrush artist I have tried a variety of methods for creating custom mugs, but Cricut's Mug Press is by far the best method I have tried, and the results are amazing! Yes, it requires something like a Cricut cutting machine to create the templates/transfers, but if you have that (or have a very good hand with a knife!) you can quickly and easily create stunning graphics on mugs! It was super easy to set up and use right out of the box. The hardest part was waiting for the mug to cool afterwards so that I could un-wrap and see it! Good product, but how many mugs does someone need? Best for sellers.
I’ve only used it twice but the results are great! Now if only Cricut would put a “quick start” pamphlet in the box. Sadly, the internet is the only “instructor.” 1. you have to hook the press into a computer to activate and register it. Don’t have a computer or yours doesn’t have a USB? Aw, too bad. You will need to go to a friend or neighbor and use theirs’. 2. Then you continue to use the internet to find out how to operate it and do your first mug. 3. Now that you have spent 15-45+ minutes going through those steps, you are ready to do your mug, if you have all the supplies necessary. And, several days later, when you want to do your next mug, go back to the internet and watch the instructional video AGAIN, to refresh the procedure in your mind.
