NotesEach of the 52 pieces included in this set were drawn from Soundscapes performances from 2004 to 2009. Presented as an 8-CD set with full color rigid bound 58-page book. "Quiet moments are when we put time aside to be quiet. Sometimes quiet moments find us. Quiet may be experienced with sound, and also through sound; in a place we hold to be sacred, or maybe on a crowded subway train hurtling towards Piccadilly or Times Square. Quiet Moments of my musical life, expressed in soundscapes, are deeply personal; yet utterly impersonal: they address the concerns we share within our common humanity." (Fripp)

  • The Final Footnote to a 50+ Year Career

Robert Fripp has spent his career providing challenging, esoteric music of all types. This brilliant collection of 52 weekly solo performances that were listed on You Tube fascinated me on the medium both sonically and visually. To offer this as a whole unit is a true gift for his rabid fans. However, if you cringe at his early Frippertonic releases and his numerous collaborations with Brian Eno, David Cross, Theo Travis and others you should definitely steer clear of this set. It can be tedious at times but to enjoy this set you must focus on the nuances of each piece to truly enjoy it. Having just seen King Crimson live on 9/11/2021 in what well may have been their last live US performance I am delighted to have this compilation and the 2 cd set of that concert at The Anthem in DC I believe these are the preamble of how we will hear the rest of RF's output for the remainder of his years ahead.
